The Funky Monkey is located on Monkey Island, OK. Come enjoy Grand Lake of the Cherokees with the friendly, knowledgeable and personalized attention only a family-run business can offer.
Settle into one of six uniquely themed and comfortable rooms. Relax and enjoy the wrap-around porch or read a book by the fireplace. It is easy to explore Monkey Island from our perfect location right in the middle of the action.
If you are looking for a fun filled day of fishing, boating, golfing, horseback riding or visiting the famous Darryl Starbird car museum, we can help point you in the right direction. If you want to retreat and unwind, we will take very good care of you while staying out of your way. If you are coming for business, let us remedy the monotony of corporate lodging with our unique style. We would love to host your corporate group for an overnight business meeting or executive retreat. We have also been a popular place to stay for wedding families while their loved ones are getting married at Shangri-La. We are flexible and excited to accommodate you in any way we can.
While we have six available rooms, for your privacy and experience, we will only book three separate groups at a time.
Amenities
Each room has access to a shared landing that includes a coffee bar and a place to socialize and play cards with friends. The basement boasts a large movie room, snack kitchen, and a tornado shelter, just in case!
Rates
Our rates are per room on a nightly or weekly basis. We have a two night minimum for weekends, and three night minimum for holidays. There is an opportunity to package three rooms, or all six rooms. We require at least 30 days notice before check-in to receive a full refund. Please see our cancellation policy.
